This Surveillance Use Policy shall govern the use of cameras to document land use activities and development by staff of the Planning and Development Department. The Department regulates land use, construction and mining in unincorporated Santa Clara County.
The Department is located at 70 West Hedding Street, in San Jose, CA. In the course of fulfilling regulatory oversight responsibilities for land use and construction, Department staff shall as reasonably needed use County digital cameras, including digital cameras within phones and tablet computers, to take photographs and occasionally videos to document the results of the Department's on-site inspections.
