Special Meeting of Children, Seniors, and Families Committee (CSFC): August 22, 2017
A special meeting of CSFC dedicated to Administration's draft proposed policy will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 from 10:00am - 12:00pm in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers. This special hearing will include review of Administration's report on the proposed draft Living Wage Policy for Community-Based Nonprofit Contractors, including a copy of the official proposed policy, and recommendations from the Committee on how to proceed.

Public Forum #1: October 24
The first Public Forum will be held on October 24, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00pm in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers. At this forum, the County will present its current work on the living wage policy as it exists today and how it might be applied to agreements with nonprofit service providers in the future. This is an opportunity for nonprofit organizations to provide feedback to County staff on considerations for including nonprofit contractors in the living wage policy. Public Forum #2: March 7, 2017
The Second Public Forum on Living Wage Policy for Community-Based Nonprofit Contractors will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2017 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm in the Board of Supervisors' Chambers. This second forum will include an overview of the County’s Living Wage Ordinance, discussion of the development of the living wage policy for non-profits, a presentation of the proposed draft Living Wage Policy for Community-Based Nonprofit Contractors, and an in-depth review of the provisions enumerated therein. Administration will also present a proposed timeline for implementation of the draft Living Wage Policy.
Once this process has concluded, the Administration will present a draft policy to the Finance and Government Operations Committee for its consideration and recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for adoption.
