Grant Opportunity for Community Fourth of July Fireworks Events

Government agencies and nonprofit organizations planning to host 2024 Fourth of July fireworks events in Santa Clara County may benefit from, and are encouraged to apply for, the grant program established by the County to fund safe and legal community fireworks events. This grant program continues this year after restarting in 2023 following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The County is allocating a total of $25,000 to sponsor up to two fireworks events in each of the five supervisorial districts ($5,000 per district). Events must be open to all residents of Santa Clara County, be family-friendly, and include public/fire safety educational elements.

A Safety Panel comprised of representatives form the Santa Clara County Fire District, Office of the Sheriff, Office of the County Executive, and Parks and Recreation Department will review and evaluate all submissions. The County of Santa Clara’s Board of Supervisors will review and approve the panel’s recommendations in May 2024. Grant recipients will be notified and receive funds following Board approval.
